Ans: History is a narration of acceptable facts throwing light on every aspects of human life in distant past.
অতীতত ঘটা প্ৰকৃত ঘটনাৰ ধাৰাবাহিক বিবৰণীসমূহকে ইতিহাস বোলে । ইতিহাসত অতীতৰ মানৱ সমাজৰ সকলো দিশ সামৰি লোৱা গ্ৰহনযোগ্য বৰ্ণনা থাকে ।
b) What is it that history and story do not mean the same? 
Ans: History and story do not mean the same. History can help us to know about the lives of the people of the past in detail. The history is written on the basis of accurate date or real facts. On the other hand there is no evidence or accurate data in story .

Ans: The sources of studying history are the ancient literature like Vedas,the Ramayana etc, stone, inscriptions,coins, copper-plate, sculptures, pots, ornaments etc.

e)What is the importance of studying history at present day? 
Ans: History has to be studied to know about the socio-economic and religious arrangements, dress, food habits of people, residences, ornaments, etc. of the ancestors of the past. The study of history is considered very important to show respect for our own heritage, traditions, art culture. History covers various aspects of the changes in human life along with events that took place at a particular time in the past. Various arrangements of the enjoyment of human life, literature and culture, etc. can also be found in history. After all we must study history to know all the things of our past as a whole.

f) What is the difference between Buranji and Ithihasa? 
Ans: The difference between Buranji and Ithihasa are: History and ithihasa are used in the same sense in the Assamese language. But history and ithihasa are not the same. There are some qualitative differences between the two words.The word Buranji belongs to Tai language. In Buranji Usually we found a description of the noble family of kings or an aristocratic family. on the other hand,in ithihasa there is a series of real events that have happened in the past. Ithihasa contains an acceptable narrative covering all aspects of the human society of the past.
